Caitlin's story:
And how did the wreckers show go? HOW DID IT GO!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!
IT WAS GREAT!!!! BEOND GREAT!!!
I got ther around 12:30 (8 TO 9 HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW!!) and when everyone wass waiting Michelle kept going in and out of the venue haha and she waved at all of us and went inside and later at the show Michelle was saying "Me and Teddy are planing on moving and we desided to move to Dallas cause we like the vibe here!!" and then she said "And I'm NOT lieing cause I don't say this in every town believe me!!1" and Jess agreed and said herself "Yeah she said she wants to move here!!" and you never know it might happen haha.
And I was the first to show up and then I was right up front and Michelle came up to where I was and I was able to take a great pic!!! And there were somany funny things like Teddy started dancing and Jess did to and Michelle kept going back to the Dallas subject haha.
And then my mom bought me 2 wreckers t-shirts and I got to MEET MICHELLE AFTER!!!!! She was the coolist person I have ever met.
And she had my demo not and I told her that theres a song on there for her, Teddy and Owen and she just smiled really really big and said "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!" And took a pic with me and then I met Jess and she was super cool she was the same as the last time I met her.
And when I was walking away I looked back and Michelle and Teddy were looking at my demo and talking about if and look though it.
So i'm really excited to were I STILL can't sleep haha!!!

Andrea's story:
It was almost 4 years ago, so some details might have been forgotten.
My friend, Glenda, and I arrived early at the Oneida Pavillian in Green Bay on September 22nd, 2002. Michelle was opening for Sheryl Crow, and there were only 4 Sheryl Crow fans waiting in line, so Glenda and I were thrilled that we would probably get to see Michelle from the front row. It had been over one year since I had last seen Michelle live (September 10, 2001), so I was extrememly excited to see her again.
After waiting all day in the pouring rain, it was finally time to be let inside the pavillion. Our hearts were crushed when we saw about three rows of people in the front already, but I wasn't going to let it ruin my night!
Michelle's performance was great, of course. She messed up on "If Only She Knew", and she made this really funny face. She looked at me quite a bit, since I was right under her mic and I was probably one of the only people singing along, since mainly Sheryl Crow fans were there. At the end, she looked right at me and threw her pic, but some chic got it. Michelle watched it, and seemed somewhat dissapointed because I could tell she wanted me to get it. I offered the chic money, but she was really rude about it and said no.
After Michelle's performance Glenda and I left the crowd and decided to walk around by the buses to try to meet Michelle. The buses were fenced in and you couldn't see anything. Security was everywhere, so it seemed like we didn't have a chance. Glenda was hungry so we decided to go inside the Oneida Casino's Hotel to find a restaurant.
Glenda and I found the restaurant and were seated. There were only a few other tables of people eating there, and I looked around and noticed some members of Michelle's band. I said to Glenda, "Isn't that Michelle's band?" She looked over and said, "Andrea, Michelle is sitting right there."
Needless to say, I lost my apetite. It was SO hard not to look over at their table and just stare, but I managed to eat my entire meal, while text messaging just about everyone I knew. We were actually just one table away from them. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, but I heard some of the conversation. Michelle said something like, "Do you ever have dreams where you're at home, but it's not really your house?" She was also talking about how she hates balancing her checkbook, so when she goes home she has her dad do it.
When Michelle got up to leave, I walked over to her and said, "Hi Michelle, I don't mean to be rude, but can I get a picture with you?" She was like, "Oh, sure! I noticed you when we were eating, and you were in front at the concert, right?" I thought it was cool that she recognized me. She signed my copy of The Spirit Room and Broken Bracelet, and her friend (I think it was Shannon) took a picture of us.
We talked about a lot of things...some of which I can't remember, I'm sure. Glenda asked Michelle if shirts with her face on them creep her out and she said yes. She said that she was at the mall one time and a guy was wearing a shirt with her on it and when she passed him she hid her face. I also told her I used to talk to her on the Hanson message boards years ago and she thought that was funny. She also asked me if I caught the pic she threw to me and when I told her someone else did, she dug in her pockets for another one, but didn't have one (I caught one a few years later, though!).
After about five minutes of talking, people started coming into the hotel from the concert. Michelle was like, "What time is it? Is the concert over?!" I told her it was 10:00, and she said she had to get going before the crowd came through. I told her she could wear my sweatshirt that I just bought (with her face on it), because no one would think it's her, but she said, "That's ok, we'll just run."
So, Michelle and Shannon took off to the elevator, but Glenda and I thought they were leaving the building and we didn't know the way out so we followed them. When we saw them get into the elevator, they asked if we were going up, too, but we told them we were trying to find our way out. Michelle gave us directions to the doors, the elevators doors closed, and my amazing night ended.

mrdeucie's story:
I was with my girlfriend today(Oct 29th,2005) at one of our favorite pasta bars in Manhattan today and low and behold the whole Wreckers entourage appeared (Michelle, Jessica, Teddy, baby Owen, and someone I didn't recognize). Michelle, Jessica and Teddy were nice enough to take a picture with me (the first time carrying a camera around everywhere has benefited me).
A few things I wished I fixed about my encounter:
1. I mistakenly said I saw them at Hammerstein instead of Roseland Ballroom.
2. I never introduced myself or my girlfriend.
I appreciate their kindness in taking time out to take a picture and briefly speak with us though.

Eric's story:
I got to meet them at the OTH concert in Atlanta. I got to go backstage and talk to them. Michelle and Jess weren't very talkative, but I understood. I was too nervous to talk anyway.
xp
The concert was amazing. I was singing along to most of the songs, and Jess noticed. She was constantly looking down at me and smiling, laughing, happy. At the end Jess touched the audience's hands, and when she got to me, she placed a pick into my hand and closed it. She walked away, and I was too happy to say thank you.

Ashley Petersen's
story:
I actually met michelle twice, but the first time i met her was at FYE in the mall. I was third in line so i was really dedicated to meeting her because i had to get there early. So it was around my birthday, this day was September 7th, so i brought my guitar for her to sign but the FYE employes said that she wouldn't sign it.So i thought maybe if she sees it then she'll sign it.So i got up there and she signed my Spirit Room Cd and my guitar. On the guitar she wrote,"ashley, Have a Happy Birthday!
Michelle Branch"
i was really excited. she started talking to me about that i should keep playing the guitar and that she was very proud that i sang and played the guitar like her!I will never forget that moment!
The second time i met her was at A northern lights concert.Me and my friend were right next to the stage and we were really excited. At the time a guy named Brad was playing the guitar and he kept looking at us.After the concert the band came down and talked to us and we got a picture with them. Me and my friend Megan were smiling throughout the whole entire concert and Brad said that he loved our smiles. He asked michelle is she wanted to meet us and she said "sure" so we went on her tour bus and we talked for a while and she signed some stuff for us!
